We strive to maintain adequate inventories of our standard sizes of rosettes and blocks, and normally ship orders the next business day. Normally, the most economical shipping method is U.S. Postal Service flat rate boxes - solid wood is not 'lightweight' and the pounds add up quickly! Our calculated shipping costs are based on the flat rate boxes. In those infrequent cases where another shipping method would cost less, we will use that cheaper shipping method and pass on the cost savings to you, the customer.
